First off, I Don’t have a problem with House, dance (4/4) tunes. Please help, I am having problems syncing Old School & Hip Hop tunes! When I am mixing (in SYNC mode), the New song doesn’t start right when I hit PLAY, so they are not synced. Either there is a short delay or it doesn’t start right on the beginning. I tried beatgridding the songs but still no luck. I have also removed the “S” and “Q” buttons. I really want to use beatgrid cuz my new unit has cue points.
I tried calling Denon USA but they can’t help me cuz their MC3000 comes with Virtual DJ in the USA. but I am so use to working with Traktor.
My Setup Traktor Pro 2 (ver 2.1.2) PC with the Denon MC3000 controller
I used to have Traktor Pro (ver 1.2.7) with Reloop DDJ2 controller and had no problems I never ever beatgrid the songs. I would just hit SYNC, then move the jog wheel to any point of the song, hit PLAY, Boom no problems.
This is not a Denon problem it is an Native Instruments Traktor problem!
And IMO the worst problem with Traktor.
You need to check and fix your beatgrid that is in 99% wrong in Traktor!
And for tunes that does not have a constant BPM it does not work to get a 100% correct beatgrid.
The only way (I know of) to get a correct 100% beatgrid on tracks that does not have a constant BPM
is to run them through Ableton Live and beatgrid them to a constant BPM in that prog first and then run them in Traktor.So check your beatgrid and get it 100% right otherwise you will have to stop using autosync and snap.
And do your mixing the old way manuaI started last year in March and I have now run 1200songs in Ableton.
800 songs still left. But in meanwhile I use my MC6000 the same way I use CD
with just one cuepoint in the beginning of the track and no snap no autosync.I also use the same music librory on 2 USB sticks on my S3700/X1700 set
so when I am ready in Ableton it will be easier to beatmatch all songs 🙂It is very timeconsuming because Ableton sometimes does not get the grid right
but the difference is that you then can do it manualy beat by beat.

May 28, 2019 TRAKTOR DJ 2 is our free DJ app for iPad and desktop, designed to break the boundaries to DJing. SoundCloud Go+ integration means you have access to an endless track collection, and TRAKTOR’s song. I just upgraded to Traktor Pro 3. I have been using Serato DJ Pro for a long time after using Traktor Pro 2. Any articles or Video on how to access Traktor Pro 3 elastique beatgrid. Does it have this function? The answer i got from Mark @ NI.

I downloaded Traktor pro 2 yesterday, i’ve never used this before so please bear with me.
I have a track that I’m trying to set the grid. The track is Wuthering Heights (original mix) by O’SHINE, Simon.
I cleared the grid that traktor set as it was clearly wrong and layed another. The grid is fine until after the build up. When the beat kicks back in, is way off. So at the point i’ve layed another (so i now have number 2 on that beat) and from then on, it’s fine. Im i doing this correctly ?I haven’t used Traktor in a while yet, but as far as I know, Traktor still doesn’t offer a solution for flexible beatgridding. What you describe as being number two just sounds like a hot cue, not a beatmarker.
You can change the beatmarker for the first downbeat and you can change the bpm if Traktor’s analysis gets it wrong. But as far as I know there is no way to fix what you want fixed.
Perhaps someone else can shine a light on this that I have missed?

As far as I understand, the bpm stays the same throughout the track. Extra beatmarkers just set another downbeat if I am not mistaken.
Again, I don’t Traktor supports various beatgrids within one track. It’s one of the reasons I moved to Mixvibes Cross.

I’ve checked that file for you in Traktor – it has a very slight varying beatgrid.
Traktor cannot beatgrid that for you perfectly.You have a few options:
1. Forget beatgriding it and mix in and out manually.
2. Set the beat grid perfectly at the begining so you can mix in using sync then manually mix out.
3. Set the beat grid at the end of the tune (after the break) so the outro is perfectly beatgrid – then manually mix in and use sync out.
4. Forget this tune and move on – you will find this issue in 1 in every 50-100 tunes.Hope that helps.
Are you sure the downbeat has changed. Not uncommon for musical parts to kick in 1 or even 2 beats before the first downbeat. Error 1450 dev c++. The fact that the music or vocal starts again doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the new downbeat.
Let’s face it, Traktor is good at tight, electronic music with a constant beat throughout. Changing bpm’s and such it can’t handle well.
If you plan on having much music like this, you might consider Serato or Mixvibes Cross, both of which have excellent flex gridding.
What was the reason to decide to use Traktor? The choice for software should, imho, follow the workflow you want and need. Just curious what led to picking Traktor.

As I have that track also I checked it in Traktor and Serato.
Yes the beat on this track does change after the breakdown as the 1 bar after the break is not exact.
Traktor cannot handle such a thing and even in Serato I had to make a downbeat marker to make it work (however it does work in Serato).This is just one thing Traktor currently cannot do as flexible beatgridding is not supported and this is something you have to live with in such tunes.
